Head of Global Public Affairs for new vaccines at Sanofi Pasteur
Jean-Antoine Zinsou is a MD by training specialized in emergency and catastrophe management. For almost fifteen years he has been working in the vaccine field. He was in charge of the Sanofi Pasteur office for French Speaking Africa for five years and for three year he lead Sanofi Pasteur activities in Southern Africa. During this period he worked actively to improve the vaccine coverage rate in these countries, hence contributing to a better protection of African children .In 2013 he joined the Sanofi Pasteur team dedicated to the dengue vaccine development. As a Public Affairs and Advocacy Team member, he was instrumental in the publication by the SAGE (Strategic Advisory Group of Expert on immunization) of their recommendation on the use of the first dengue vaccine.
Before joining the pharma industry he was for four years, an active member of an NGO based in Côte d’Ivoire that fought for the authorities to recognize that HIVAIDs was an issue hence the need to provide affordable if not free access to care to people living with AIDS in this country.
