The challenges of today and tomorrow require discerning, innovative leaders unafraid of challenging the status quo.

On April 6, the first cohort of Ahimsa fellows, future leaders of global health, will share their visions and their expectations and challenge—and be challenged by—Saba Al Mubaslat.

Saba Al Mubaslat is an experienced humanitarian who has worked in some of the most challenging contexts in the world. She has also worked with different government entities in the Middle East to shape their national agendas and redefine their focus towards resilience, youth, leadership and positive engagement with communities.

Saba Al Mubaslat

Saba Al Mubaslat joined the Asfari Foundation as CEO in May 2019 and has over 25 years of experience in the humanitarian and development sector. Before joining the Foundation, Saba was CEO at the Humanitarian Leadership Academy, where she established a global network of Academy Centres and over 80 organisational partners committed to leading the humanitarian sector’s localization agenda. Before this, Saba was the Country Director for Save The Children International in Jordan, where she was a strong advocate for disadvantaged communities and ensured the rights and futures of children and young people were at the forefront of the humanitarian agenda. During this period, Saba also played a crucial role in coordinating the response of 45 humanitarian organizations to the Syrian crisis.
