Bringing together a variety of global health leaders, decision makers, investors and innovators.
Leveraging innovation and technology is essential to fast-track progress to reach Universal Health Coverage (UHC) and other health-related Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) targets.
While new solutions for health are emerging in different parts of the world, these do not always get adopted on scale to deliver impact. There is a disconnect between innovators and implementers that needs to be bridged.
The Health Innovation Exchange identifies challenges faced by implementers and connects them with innovations that have high potential for impact. It also links with investors to scale up the efforts and develop sustainable solutions.
The Health Innovation Exchange builds upon and shares the expertise of countries, global health actors, innovators, communities and the private sector. It is founded on a shared commitment to leave no one behind in our journey to achieve the SDGs.
The Health Innovation Exchange will host a global annual event on the margins of the World Health Assembly 19-21 May 2020 in Geneva, Switzerland.
What’s in it for me?
A number of innovators will have the opportunity to showcase their solutions at a Health Innovation Marketplace and pitch their ideas to an international audience. They will get to personally interact with implementers and investors, as well as create partnerships with other innovators and change-makers. The innovations will be shortlisted through an expert review. While we welcome a variety of innovations that have a potential to support countries towards reaching the SDG3 targets, from selected final innovations the Health Innovation Exchange will award top innovations in the following categories:
• Digital health
• Financial innovations for access to health
• Innovations for the last mile in healthcare delivery
• Community innovations
