Maurine Murtagh is currently a consultant on diagnostics in resource-limited settings in which capacity she is working with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and UNITAID. Until recently, Maurine was the Director of Diagnostic Services for the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI), a position she held for about five years. Prior to joining CHAI, Maurine was a corporate partner at the law firm of Howard Rice Nemerovski Canady Falk & Rabkin in San Francisco, California, where her focus was on mergers and acquisitions and securities law. Maurine began her career in investment banking, where she worked for both Smith Barney and Morgan Stanley.
