Bangladesh

Suvam Paul received his B.A. in Economics from Columbia University in 2010. Currently, he is enrolled in the Health Policy and Management Program at NYU Wagner Graduate School of Public Service. Suvam’s interest in gaining international experience led him to Bangladesh after graduation from Columbia, where he spent 11 months volunteering at the Yunus Center (YC), the global social business hub dedicated to eradicating poverty. Prior to enrolling at NYU Wagner, he worked on developing a pilot health program for Latino immigrant women living at or below the poverty line in West Queens that sought to promote a culture of health— through interventions focused on increasing awareness of healthy living and promoting greater use of preventive care services. He is on a fellowship this summer at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, NY, where he is working as a research assistant.
